The “new” floodgate is in the process of beginning to be born.
The mega-project of the consortium formed by the real estate developer Vanguard Properties (VP) and Amorim Luxury (AL) starts in December, with infrastructure work for the 365 hectares of the Torre-Terras da Comporta plot, in Grândola, which together with the Dunas, in Alcácer do Sal, is part of the project that is being developed in the area.
At stake is a total investment estimated at 2.3 billion euros. “We decided to do all the infrastructure work for Torre at once. The pandemic did not compromise the project’s timings, ”said José Cardoso Botelho, general director of VP, quoted by Expresso, adding that the deadline for completion of the works is two years and the total value of the project is around 30 million. euros.
According to José Teixeira, president and founder of DST, the construction group that won the tender to carry out the contract, “the shipyard starts to be assembled as soon as the contract is signed, taking advantage of the synergies” existing in the region.
The supervision of the work was handed over to Tecnoplano.
Valued at 850 million euros, Torre is a mixed project, with hotel, residential, cultural and sports components. The 365 hectares of land are expected to build 245 houses, three tourist villages with around 440 accommodation units, two hotels (one 210 rooms and the other with 225) and two aparthotels (178 + 263 accommodation units) , among other equipment, writes the publication.
Saraiva e Associados is responsible for the overall coordination of the project, as national and international architects will be hired to jointly develop the projects, revealed Miguel Saraiva. “There are 289,000 m2 of construction, but it is being considered to substantially reduce the occupation approved in the detailed plan. [The project is] a marathon and not a sprint ”, said the architect, quoted by the weekly.
For José Cardoso Botelho, integration in the landscape, the use of sustainable materials, the use of solar energy in the most efficient way possible and respect for the environment are some of the assets of the enterprise, which will have an effluent treatment station whose treated water will serve to water the green areas.
