Comporta Dunes
Comporta Dunes is located near the village of Carvalhal and has been designed by David McLay Kidd who has been responsible for a number of superb Golf Courses and Resorts worldwide. These courses include but not limited to Bandon Dunes, Queenwood, and St Andrews Links Castle Course.
The Golf Course at Comporta Dunes is set within a stunning terrain of pine forest and sand dunes over 100 hectares with breathtaking sea views and a Par 71 internationally playable course. The Golf Course at Comporta Dunes is perfect golf terrain and promises to offer a select number of high-end golf properties for sale.
Comporta Links
Comporta Links will be located near to the village of Comporta and has been designed by Tom Fazio. This course would of hosted the Ryder Cup had Comporta been successful with their bid. The Golf Course is set within 145 hectares of naturally beautiful terrain and will be a Par 72.
Troia Championship Golf Course
An 18-hole and 72 par-course that spans 6,317 metres along Troia beach, with magnificent views over the Atlantic Ocean. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior the renowned North American golf architect, Troia Championship Golf Course is listed in The Rolex World’s Top 1,000 Golf Courses guide.
In 2018, the magazine Golf World rated it as 17th top golf course within Continental Europe. Robert Senior selected hole 3 as one of the best he has ever designed, and included it in his list of ideal 18-hole courses.
Herdade da Pinheirinho
The Herdade do Pinheirinho Golf Course project was to include two hotels (150 and 180 rooms), three tourist villages (400-500 rooms), four aparthotels with 260 apartments and townhouses, 204 villas and a 90 hectare golf course with 27 holes, located within an amazing beautiful area near to the Alentejo Coast. Unfortunately, due to the financial crisis of 2008 – 2012, the owners returned the estate to the bank and it is now up for sale.
2020 – Vic Properties Announce Purchase of Pinheirinho
Austrian Vic Properties announced today that the process of acquiring Herdade do Pinheirinho, a project of generous areas, around 200 hectares in Melides (Grândola), has finally been completed.
Two steps from the beach including hotels, villas, apartments, commerce and Golf Course. In this new phase, VIC Properties “is reassessing the existing studies and uses for Herdade do Pinheirinho, in order to be able to improve a project initially developed over 10 years ago,” the company said in a statement. After finishing this strategy definition phase, VIC Properties guarantees that it will start the development of the project “as soon as possible.”
Currently, it is planned to build a hotel, 450 villas and 250 apartments, which join a Golf course that is already in operation, in an investment of around 500 million euros. For João Cabaça, CEO of VIC Properties, this is a “strategic acquisition” of the promoter, who believes that in the coming years “there will be an increasing appreciation of second homes, inserted in contexts closer to nature.”
“There is an increasingly strong trend about what people will want in the future, which goes through second homes inserted in nature, with outdoor spaces, which allow the practice of leisure and sports activities”, adds João Cabaça, remembering that Herdade do Pinheirinho meets all these conditions, plus the added value of being located just over one hour from Lisbon. Tom Fazio designed golf course with a scheduled opening in 2022. A private-members only golf course, playable by members only.
