For many years the Algarve on the west coast of Portugal has been a favourite destination for many hundreds of thousands of tourists from all over Europe, and in fact from many other parts of the world; and even though more recently visitors seem to have tapered off the Algarve is still a beautiful place to see and reside in.
Like most other tourist type destinations in Europe property prices in Portugal on homes for sale in Portugal and especially the Algarve have softened a little with quite a lot of stock currently available, this however has presented a terrific opportunity for buyers of homes for sale in the Algarve as availability and pressure to sell has favoured the buyer’s side.
If it is time to list your home for sale in the Algarve then you may just have to wait a little longer to sell it and potentially take a little less money for it.
For this reason it is recommended that you list your home or property for sale in the Algarve with a selected number of companies rather than leaving it to a single entity; as in the long run this extra effort at the beginning may just pay off in the long term.
12th June: As the summer of 2011 is now upon us, the Algarve Tourist Board has stated that visitor numbers are increasing with many tourists arriving from abroad as well as an increase in the Portuguese themselves, which hopefully in the short term may just boost the desire for Algarve homes and property.
August 2011: The Portuguese Tourist Board declared that 2011 saw a large increase in tourists visiting Portugal, with the Algarve and Alentejo seeing large percentage increases on the previous year.
